Critical Slide Society @ Watershed Newquay

By Staff Writer · On April 3, 2014

Critical Slide Society @ Watershed Newquay The Critical Slide Society Launches UK ‘Bespoke Aloha Goods’ at Watershed in Newquay.

TCSS (The Critical Slide Society) together with Watershed presents ‘Bespoke Aloha Goods’. A boardshort customisation concept whereby the customer has the opportunity to design their own boardshort alongside the award winning design team from TCSS.

The process is as follows: the measurements of the customer will be taken by the TCSS tailor. The reigns are then handed over. With a choice of 6 fabrics, 3 drawcord colours and 4 patch designs for the customer to allocate to a short which boasts 10 individual customisable panels. The chances of someone sporting a similar pair at your local swim/surf spot are slim to none!

The design and concept is based around the TCSS award winning ‘Sea, Sex & Sun’ boardshort, the boardie recently taking the trophy for best boardshort design and usurping the likes of Vans, Billabong, Quiksilver etc from the boardshort mantle.

‘Bespoke Aloha Goods’ was rolled out to high-end Japanese retailer Ron Herman last year to great response and queues of eager boardshort designers, the concept has also featured on global trend spotting site Coolhunting.

Each short takes approximately 30 mins to design and the finished short will be delivered direct to the customer packed in it’s very own custom pouch.

Bespoke Aloha Goods will be at Watershed in the UK on Friday 17th May and forms part of a global tour that will include Spain, USA, Japan & Australia.
