Electric cars, bikes and even ovens - it seems the whole world is going electric right now. One startup company at the forefront electric longboard technology has recently smashed the world record by clocking in a whopping 95kph on the flat. Not bad for a bit of plywood and some rubber wheels
Slovenian company Next Generation Vehicles (NGV), who is behind the longboard, have teamed up with speed supremo and Guinness world record holder, Mischo Erban, to set the new milestone.
Canadian longboarder Mischo Erban is the world champion and Guinness world record holder for fastest skateboard speed from a standing position
Mischo is a world record holding Canadian longboarder who reached his top speed of 130kph on an ordinary downhill longboard so he is not adverse to white-knuckle rides.
The four-wheel drive boards are constructed from various suppliers including Murksli Custom Boards, Ronnin trucks, four custom designed Scorpion motors, industrial bearings and 76mm rubber wheels to soak up the ride.
