Not only are these incredibly portable solar lights ideal for camping, but LuminAID lights are used all over the world for emergency relief and humanitarian aid. The PackLite 12 provides up to 12 hours of consistent LED light at its low setting and is ideal for recreational use outdoors or as an extra light source at home.
The LuminAID is the brainchild of architecture graduate students Anna Stork and Andrea Sreshta who were asked to design a product to assist post-earthquake relief efforts in Haiti. The design proved to be so popular that they sought funding on ‘Shark Tank’ the US version of the BBC programme ‘Dragons’ Den’ where investors where quite literally biting their arms off to work on the project.
