Cafe Irie in Newquay is playing host to #dailydrawing, a selection of artworks by Victoria Jones from 04 July until 31 August 2014.

While travelling through Mexico and South America in an effort to further her career and learn about the cultures, traditions and history of the regions, Victoria hit upon the idea of a daily drawing.

It was the wisdom of none other than Pablo Picasso that guided Victoria onto the right path; in particular his quote “inspiration exists but it has to find you working”. In that moment she made a promise to dedicate time every day to her art. The result was one drawing a day posted on Instagram where her works of art now a have an appreciative and worldwide audience.

Victoria Jones is an artist, designer and surfer based in Bristol, UK. After graduating from University College Falmouth in 2009 with a BA (Hons) in Illustration, she has since been working as a freelance illustrator, designer and artist. Working predominantly within the board sports industry, Victoria’s design work has caught the attention of many well-known surf, snow and skate brands all around the world. She regularly designs for Icelandic Women’s Snowboarding brand Nikita, has had in‐house stints at Billabong, Australia, Hurley, California and Fat Face, UK, and has names such as Red Bull and Saltrock in her portfolio.
