Three Words

June 04, 2010 | Words By: Howard

three_words A surf film that documents the positive impact surfing has on lives. Filmed on the East coast of Scotland and the North East of England. A stark contrast to some of the perfect waves in surf films from around the globe, Three Words offers an insight into living and surfing around the area.

Director James Bligh offers his take on surfing waves in the North East of England from a very personal perspective. “I’m still learning things everyday, but couldn’t ignore the impact surfing has had on my life so far. It’s my first go at this sort of thing, the film and music are a sort of tribute to my experiences, people and waves so far, a snapshot of where I am at the moment…”

All the music was written and produced by James, recording on location in James’s van or some form of make shift shelter (with exception of the drums, there’s no way he could play a drum set in the van.)

All film recorded and edited by James Bligh.
